Slam Dunk Lessons
Getting students engaged and keeping them interested is a challenge all educators face. Finding the time to make high-quality and motivating activities is often difficult. This workshop provides examples of and practice with simple lessons that are sure to entice most students; that focus on higher order thinking skills; and that can be developed using content and technology already available.
The term Slam Dunk Lessons is used here with permission from the inventor of the strategy, Jamie McKenzie, who came up this these simple lesson designs to attract a broader audience to the smart use of new technologies. His introduction to this approach can be found at http://questioning.org, and will be explored and discussed.
